Berlin November 2013

Yes yes, I was in Berlin visiting my good friend Ato. It was fun.

Before we start, let me give you my general impressions about Berlin:
-It's cold (in November)
-There's A LOT of art!
-People like their beer
-A lot of girls were Air Max 1's
-The history within the city is intense!

Because there's a lot to talk about, I'm dividing this post into several sections. I know! It's new! I've never done it before! But it's fine, we're fine, let's breath...

THE CLASSICS: in this section you will find what every good tourist will have seen in Berlin.

-The Reichstag: all I could think about was the end of Call Of Duty, when you have to get the flag up on the roof.

-Memorial for the Communist soldiers:

-The first Berlin Wall I saw, quite high and not so thick (or so I thought!):

-New Synagogue of Berlin: the older one having been destroyed by the nazis.

-Brandenburg Gate: the ultimate classic, symbol of the reunification!

-Jewish Memorial:

Also you find these plaques scattered around town. They're tributes to the people that got arrested and deported by the gestapo:

-Cool bridge BRO!

-Checkpoint Charlie, which was the official crossing point between East and West Berlin during Cold War:

Hello, Eastside Gallery:

-In the suburbs, the ghetto:

ART: When I say art, I mean a bit of everything. This is my highlight here. I could have taken twenty thousand pictures to be honest.

-Some official German symbol:

-Outside of Anne Frank Museum:

 -Letter boxes:

 -Training at KMantenne:

-Every Tuesday at lunchtime, the Philharmonic of Berlin does a free concert! It's definitely worth it (since it's free):

-"Message":

-I like Mount Fuji!!!!

-Memorial for the Jews outside of the Jewish cemetery:

PEOPLE

-This is Ato, the host with the most! Rock on surfer dude!

-Hello, it's me (I love the colors in this picture):

-These guys trying to rip off the tourists!

FOOD: there was a lot of choice and it's cheaper than the rest of Europe. I had some good snacks and didn't eat anything German for the whole week!

-What is supposed to be the best kebab in Berlin, Mustafa's. It's ok, not amazing to be honest:

 -Mexican food mucacho:

-Vietnamese food:

JOKES:

-The worst poster ever, it doesn't even make sense:

-QUESTION: What do you call a German market in Germany?
...
ANSWER: A market:

(sorry)

Special shout out to Ato, Ioana and Bugz!
Danke Schoen and hasta luego.
