Flowing Asia: Malaysia - Penang

Hello, I'm in Malaysia!

I took the plane to Penang and my man Aaron came to pick me up, we went pretty much straight to training. Good start:

I'm in Penang. It's situated in the North West of Malaysia. It's all very interesting because there's been a mix of cultures and civilization in the last 400 years. You had the local Malays, the British colonisers, the Chinese immigrants and the Indian homies all gathering in the same little island. Now the old town is an official UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Site. When you come here, you understand why, it's all pretty oldshool with a mix of architecture that you can't really find anywhere else!
Let's see all that in picture! Everything you're about to see if literally on the same street! You have something for everyone:
-Christian churches:
So white

Chinese temples:

cough cough

 Muslim Mosques:

Hindu Temple:

All that's missing is a cheek synagogue, I swear!

The other REALLY good thing about Penang is definitely the food! Don't get me wrong, the food in Thailand was amazing! But here, due to so many different ethnies, there is a lot more choice! And it's all so cheap.
Have a look:
-15p

 -Cheeky ice cream:

 Chinese food court:

-The weird thing is that people here love McDonalds. "VIP Drive Through", I'm on that rice all day everyday!

There is street art here too:
 -Little joke:

 -Fake Banksy (by Ernest Zacharevic):

The other good things they have here:
-A free bus, yeaaaaaah:

-A Victorian style town hall:

-An esplanade (you're in an island after all):

-Chinese style houses:

-The official white van font (it's true, all the white vans rock the same writting!):

-The national flag floating proudly:

And that's just the old town... Stay tuned for more!
