#OTR Day 12: Chester to Stoke-On-Trent

Hola,
I said yesterday that I was tired, Well to top it up I’ve had a pretty bad night, you know when you wake up at 4am for no reason and you can’t sleep and then at 6am you pass out and at 7 your alarm goes on and you’re like what’s wrong with me!?! Yes, it was one of those.

We‘ve had a nice day though. Our 1st show in Welshpool was really good, loads of kids and they got hyped… It was very funny! I wanted to take a picture but we got carried away!

Today we’ve kept on crossing boarders, England/Wales/England/Wales, you don’t even know where you are anymore. We did end up in Shropshire:

We were also in this county. I don't know why I'm topless, don't ask.
"Crackers in Powys" (hiphop joke!):

We drove past the Rowton Castle. We got told they used to have monkeys there just to entertain the guests (now it's called TV). They’ve given us a booklet too about the history of the building but it’s pretty boring, forget about it… Anyways, it’s me there, looking like a cloudy head:

Our second show was in Ironbridge, I wanted to visit but I was so tired I had a fat nap instead!!! We had a walk around though and saw the whitest calypso band ever, I guess it's good to promote cultural diversity:

Finished the day with training in the hotel lobby. It’s great when people come out of the lift, they want to say something but they don’t really dare. And I just smile at them and they smile back:

Finally, award for the worst hotel so far goes to the “Quality Hotel” (ironic name really) in Stoke on Trent : weak 'drip drip' shower , mega hot rooms, keys that don't work... GLAMOROUS!

#OTR Day 11: Bangor to Chester

So we’re still in Wales, it’s still sunny and warm.

We did a first show in Llandudno and the funny thing is that I had been there before and I couldn’t even remember…
Flashback: me and Frenzy did a tour with a show consisting of live music, dancing and videos. That was in 2006 and we had the best time ever. All the really bad jokes that we still crack come from that time: cous cous, pointy toes, disappearing boxer shorts and the windmills with no shoes just to name a few.
Anyways, it was fun, loads of old ladies falling in love with me, “what can I say?”. It was there:

We also checked out the Dyserth waterfalls, nothing too exciting, just a nice walk around. I'm doing the French pause:

I drove all day today and I’m pretty tired: loads of zigzag, narrow roads, suicidal birds and green:

I'm tired so it’s gonna be an early night tonight I’m telling ya!

#OTR Day 10: Aberystwyth to Bangor

Another day in the life of the Olympic Torch Relay: day 10, DONE!!! It feels good!

This is the view we had at breakfast, not bad:

We’ve spent the whole day driving around Snowdon and it’s been beautiful!
These are my top 3 pictures of Welsh scenery for the day:

OMG, so good!

That being done, we went to check out the homies do a performance in Blaneau Ffestiniog (maybe the highest train station in the UK? Can anyone confirm?). The train driver was steaming… (sorry)
I even made a new friend there:
Go Team GB haha.

Then we had lunch at Criccieth on the West coast, it looks a bit like like the castle in Braveheart, just sunnier, with more Welsh people and without Mel Gibson:

Also, we stopped at this train station on the way back. I could make a racist joke about the Welsh language but everyone here has been mega nice to me. They love my accent around these ends so I won't say anything bad about my Welsh peeps. So I’ll just make a racist comment about me being French instead:
“Go on you monkey frog”:

Finished the day with a cheeky sunset in Caernarfon (I LOVE SUNSETS):

And yes, we did some work in between, I promise!!!

#OTR Day 9: Swansea to Aberystwyth

Boom son! Today was good!!! Apart from lunch, just read on...

Started the day in Swansea, did a cheeky show in the morning, I danced with no music on my own in town and I loved it. It was really good.

Then we drove all the way to Fishguard, we stopped somewhere at a castle (again) whose name I can’t remember, the lady let us in for free because that’s how we roll (loads of freebees today, Welsh people are generous like that!). The most interesting thing to see there was those big plants that you normally find in the centre of the Amazon, Indiana Jones would use them to have a jacuzzi but I just used them to stay in the shades.
This is me looking like a camp 9 year old kid that’s up to no good:

So we arrived at Fishguard, it’s nice there, check it:
The harbour:

The sea:

That town’s got interesting history too. The French tried to invade Britain through there in 1797 but got smoked because of lack of discipline… Tut tut tut, not good. Because they got so pissed off they quit the battle and started looting the town.
Here’s an original Instagram picture:
The guy at bottom left is stealing a sheep, how stereotypical. And there’s my man in the centre, not only is he enjoying the pillage, he’s doing it BUTT NAKED!!! Those French guys know how to have fun.

Then we had lunch… Well, it was terrible, long service, bad food, expensive. Only the place we drove to made it worthwhile.
Shit lunch, great view:

In the evening, because we got to the hotel pretty early, I had a cheeky session in the lobby of our flats. One hour non stop, I was sweating !!!
Power for the ladies:

Even got to stretch watching some Fresh Prince on TV (shoutout to Stefan), best program EVER!!!

When I was young, I would go home early after school just to watch it. My friends would get mad at me because I wouldn’t go play football with them if the Fresh Prince was on… True story!!!

That’s it for now. Today I’ve realised that dancing makes me very happy. I don’t even know why…

Bonus picture of the day:
Wow, parking is expensive around here!!!

#OTR Day 8: Cardiff to Swansea (day off)

Boom, second day off of the tour. It feels SO good to go to bed late and to get up mega early for no reason… I had really weird dreams last night, I feel tired… GREAT!!!

We had a little walk in town in the morning and since we found the Olympic rings next to the Cardiff City Hall, we decided to recreate the Olympic motto. In no specific order, here we go:
STRONGER:

HIGHER:

FASTER:
(too fast for the camera)

Then we drove to Swansea (no castles on the way unfortunately) and there I hooked up with Josh and Stan (my biggest fan). So first we went into town:
Then to the beach:

Then to Tesco’s:
No photos because Tesco is WACK!

I have a funny picture too: normally you pick up your bag at reception but this hotel was so tiny that they put all the suitcases in one room:

I rest my case (sorry).

Also, for your information, at only 10pm, Swansea on a saturday night is a warzone!

#OTR Day 7: Worcester to Cardiff

Thank you South West, we’ve had some good time together but unfortunately, we  both have to move on with our own lives. It’s just bad timing. It’s not you it’s me. I don’t think it’s gonna work...

What’s happened today is a little blurry, I can’t remember everything that went on. I was pretty tired from yesterday’s little 25 mile jog.

I know that we’ve just arrived in Wales. Proof:

On the way to our second show we stopped at Raglan Castle, and even better we randomly bumped into Paddy and Delia aka Taxi 2 lol.

Cheeky lunch at a lake… Get your tan on mate!!!

In the evening, we went to the celebration site to see the homies perform. They also had some famous singers there, but since it was neither Biggie nor Tom Jones, I didn’t pay much attention. I had pictures for that but they’re so bad they won’t make it on this blog, quality above quantity!

To celebrate our 2nd day off, we went out in Cardiff Town at the Moon Club. It was good, it was very similar to Smokestack (for the Leeds heads) with more hiphop.
Mixtape Dave joined us. Unfortunately, Rox couldn’t make it down. Rox and Dave are in my top 3 favorite couples ever!! Muy buena gente as they say in Spain.
Here is Dave putting his hand on my head (I have no clue why, the spur of the moment I guess), “Blessed are the Beatmakers” and the beatdancers:

Ps: if anyone has noticed the professional photophop skills, respect!!! That red car kills the vibe! This is the original picture:
 BOOM!

#OTR Day 6: Cheltenham to Worcester

Hello, 1st show was good. It wasn’t too early, 9am. It was busy and the road was closed, it helps when there’s no cars around! I had a battle with the little homies. I repped to the max! Concrete style! Dirty hands! No kneepads! Real bboy! As you can see it was pretty busy:

Me with the future breakers of Herefordshire!

On the way to the next show, we stopped at Hampston Court Castle which was built in the 1450’s by some rich dude just to alpha male the other rich dudes!
Fresh like Colgate!!! (double pun FTW)

And I spent the whole afternoon being part of the convoy! Running around and being awesome as always haha. For your information, the convoy is composed of trucks from the 3 main sponsors, they just hype up the crowd and let the people know the flame is on its way!!!
Rosie and Amy:

Little stop in Kidderminster, famous for well.. Its trains...

Busy day in Gloucester!

I ran for about 6 hours today (not even kidding), me poor legs… If I don’t stretch tonight, tomorrow I’ll walk like a lego character!

What went down in Ireland a few months ago...

Best move at 2.40!!! Just skip the rest...

#OTR Day 5: Bristol to Cheltenham

Yes we’re back!!!

Today’s been hectic, loads of stuff happening. Loads of pictures!!!

Well, you may have notice that we’re having a bit of summer week. It feels so good when you do a show at 7.45am and you’re rocking a tshirt, yeah boy! We started the day off in Bristol at Clifton! The BBC was there live and direct but they probably thought I was too important to give them an interview, they wouldn’t dare asking, I get that a lot…

Then on the way to Swindon, we stopped at Avebury on that pagan Neolithic site. That’s another good thing about this job; you just end in some randomly cool places!
This is me with a rock someone probably worships:

This sheep’s having a bad hair day!

Did a cheeky performance in Swindon, saw the homies from Rannel Theatre: Joey D and DJ Baila, the 2 most inspirational artists on the planet (http://www.rannel.co.uk/) I was lucky they found some time in between two very important meetings. They said they would promote this blog so it can reach new heights!!!

Also, oldschool friend RV was there helping me out with double airflare. Thanks for the help!!! C.O.V

Then on the last show on Cheltenham, we had Vicky being our personal assistant and helping keeping it clean (“ya get me” (classic)):

And we saw the best home-made flame ever, great attention to detail, great family work:

Tomorrow, I have a pretty busy day with some new challenges. Should be good!!!
