Flowing Asia: Thailand - Phuket

After Koh Lanta we made our way to Phuket on the worst minibus I had ever been in! The shock absorbers were so worn out, it was horrible! Anyway, we did get there in the end, tired!

Phuket is one of the biggest island of Thailand, situated in the south west. We spent one night in Phuket Town (which is nowhere near the beach) and we were lucky because we caught the end of the annual Vegetarian Festival. They have loads of food stands and numerous celebrations all over the city, it’s fun.
-Chinese temple:
-Decorated roundabout:

-They have some fire walkers too, got to love the smell of bacon:
-Food stands for days:

The day after, we headed to Patong… What can I say about Patong? The beach is ok, nothing special. People seem to go there for the night life!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place like that, very sinful!
-This is the beach, just average for Thailand's standards:

If you go a bit more south they have quieter towns and better beaches:
-Katta Beach, very family orientated:
-Katta Noi, definitely the best Phuket has to offer, very clean and a lot posher (full of rich Russians):
Don't mind the mega black cloud!

In Paton they also have the best hotel ever:

They welcome you like this:
“Wipe your bloody feet!”

The best and cheapest food you get in Thailand is from the street (yo). Everything else is a straight rip off I’m telling ya!

The legend was true, Thai people nap everywhere. He made us feel bad for asking a question when he should be working.

Alright party people, I will do 1 more entry about Thailand and then we move on, don't be sad, the adventure continues!
