#OTR Day 43: Derby to Birmingham

This job is amazing! It is hard and long but it is so good (no joke intended here). When you finish a show and the people come say thank you, it's all worth it!

One of the best things about this gig is that we are independent. All the other performers get told what to do, we decide what we do in between shows. This morning we had to be at the spot in Derby for 5.45am, and it was raining. It was fantastic but the best was to go back to the hotel for a little nap and cheeky blog update:

So today's been mainly wet.One minute it's really sunny, the next we're getting soaked! It doesn't matter because I'm prepared (I will do a presentation on how to cope with bad weather on the blog soon!). I think it's good for us to be out there when crowds are waiting for the Flame, we raise moral! Also, when it rains, me and Marky Jay look exactly the same! Best guy:

If I didn't have that Yorkshire accent, people wouldn't differentiate us!

For lunch in Willenhall, we caught with the ladies aka "Perfect Storm" (nickname given by our big boss himself). We had lunch at classy Wetherspoons. All the staff was dressed as the 118 characters, not very olympicky! They should have come as a rowing team or volleyball surely? One of them even laughed at the fact that I had a blog, little did he know I have at least 5 regular readers (who's laughing now!). They were cool guys anyway:

We had our last performance in Wolverhampton, we did pretty much the same show twice. The first one was quite poor but the second one was amazing! They were only 10 meters apart. Strange.

Now just chilling in Solihull... This is the view from my bedroom. It feels good to see some green, not from a car window! Very relaxing:

Tomorrow, day off!
